Ways to Book
IVR or ABI as we call her is Streamline's automated booking system which enables regular customers to book ASAP jobs into our system. Customers will be offered regular pickups by ABI and can select by using the keypad or can choose from a range of other options. Once a Taxi is booked ABI will be able to update you on an estimated time of arrival along with driver and vehicle details. If you are interested in using this feature click here
Technology:
Our bespoke system is tailored to suit our ever-growing needs, with built in GPS we can track our whole fleet at the click of a button. This system has been designed and developed by the market leader in Taxi/Private hire despatch. It is unrivalled in both its usability and customer/staff interface, setting the standards for future development.
How it works:
Firstly your call is identified by the number you call from, this populates previous information from this number along with your name. Our Callhandlers will then confirm your request and read back your booking(s) so that we ensure it is correct. Our system can identify whether or not a vehicle is available for you request and the call handler will advise you of any delays. This is done by calculating the volumes of bookings, vehicles and traffic over the previous 2 weeks and will adjust its timings accordingly.
After your booking has been placed it will then be processed by the system to allocate a vehicle meeting your specifications. Once this has been done the job details are sent to a handheld PC in the vehicle selected. This includes all of your contact details and integrates with the SatNav system for directions if needed. Should you require an update on where the vehicle is our Callhandlers can track your vehicle on screen giving you details of what Make/Model and Driver details if required. Your journey will start by our uniformed driver greeting you at your door helping with any luggage you may have. Once you are happily within the vehicle your driver will ensure your journey is safe and comfortable. On arrival, your payment can be made direct with the driver in Cash, Card, Age Concern Vouchers (Maidstone Borough Area) or Cheque (Guarantee Card Required). Paying by Card is online within the car and will enable the driver to hand you an authorisation number upon its acceptance.
